João Pedro Fonte (Bragança, 1991) is an architect working across architecture, performing arts and cultural production.
I graduated from the University of Minho (MIARQ, 2009–2014), including an Erasmus period at Università IUAV di Venezia.
Between 2014 and 2019, I collaborated with the Research Centre of the School of Architecture of the University of Minho (CEEAUM), contributing to architectural and research projects, including the rehabilitation of the Convento de São Francisco de Real, in Braga.
I have worked in event production since 2010, as technical director, producer and project manager.
In 2019, I was production director of the exhibition Windows, by José Capela, presented at the Prague Quadrennial as part of the Portuguese Official Representation.
From 2019 to 2026, I was Technical Director at mala voadora, coordinating artistic projects, technical teams, touring and the company’s spaces in Porto. Work presented in Europe, the United States, China and Africa.
Since 2024, I represent RSL Awards in Portugal, in collaboration with Vítor Gomes.
I also develop lighting design for theatre and music.
My work focuses on the intersection between architecture, technical systems and artistic production.
